Freedom

The plight of our migrant workers has never been worse. We have failed them. As a nation. And as a society. We are “Associating with Anxiety ” and we wish to draw your attention towards the harrowing circumstances that surround a large section of our society today. This is a cover of the song ‘Freedom’ from the movie ‘Django Unchained’, originally voiced by the duo of Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton in 2012. It speaks of the innate desire to be free, free of the horrors of slavery. Today, our migrant workers are in a situation just as dire. Enslaved to their circumstances, riddled with poverty and hunger, trapped in a vicious circle of never ending agony and desperation. Alive one day, a number on a sheet the next. We have a duty towards one another. Towards all these families that are one step away from extinction.
