Body of adult elephant recovered from the bank of the Teesta
A dead body of a full-grown elephant was recovered from the cultivation field of Dudhia village on the dry teesta river bed, adjacent to Ghazaldoba near Baikanthpur forest. The body of the animal had multiple injury marks from electrocution probably caused by live electric wires illegally erected by the villagers to save their crops.
