Dried Seahorses recovered

Forest officials, on a tip off, raided an area in Naksalbari and arrested a poacher. The officials recovered 5 Kg dried sea horses from the accused. Sea horses come under Schedule 1 of the wildlife act and is considered next to animals like the elephant and the tiger. The contraband goods were being smuggled to Nepal when the poacher was arrested. He was produced at the siliguri court.
